TROTTING MEETINGS. [Special to the ‘ Stah.’] CHRIS I CHURCH, December 9. Acting on the advice* of tho health authorities, tho Minister of Internal Affairs has ordered tho Now Brighton Trotting Club’s meeting fixed for the”l6th inst. (Anniversary Day) to bo postponed. The club have applied for permission to hold the meeting on January 2. The Minister of Internal Affairs hat issued a permit for the Canterlmrv Park Trotting Club’s meeting to he held on New Year’s Day, The Gore Trotting Club have postponed their Boxing Day fixture till April. The racecourse buildings are still being used for hospital purposes. RACK MEETINGS. The South Canterbury Jorkcv Club, whose fixture for November 21 was postponed on account of tho epidemic, are applying to the Racing Conference for January 16, and will invite fresh, nominations. The North Otago Jockey Club on Saturday decided to postpone their Now Year meeting.
