LATE SHIPPING
The Monowai will not visit Wellington on her way north this trip. She will leave Lyttelton this evening for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. The vestfl will be due at the latter port on Friday. The Kittawa left Greymouth at 5 a.m. yesterday, coal laden, for Lyttelton. THE VANCOUVER~MAIL. The R.M.S. Makura arrived at Auckland at noon to-day from Vancouver via Honolulu and Suva. The vessel brought a large number of passengers and several hundred tons of Canadian merchandise for New Zealand. The Makura will not proceed through to 'Sydney this trip, but will leave Auckland about Saturday, October 12, for Suva, Honolulu, and Vancouver. THIS WEEK'S SYDNEY STEAMER. This week's ateamer from Sydney will be the Huddart-Pa-rker liner BAverina, which will make Auckland her port of call this trip, instead of Wellington. The vessel left the New South Wales port on Thursday afternoon last, and she is therefore duo at her destination to-day. Tho Rivcrina is timed to leave Auckland at 9 p.m. on Thursday for Sydney and Hobart.
