ARRIVED.—June 8.

Oorinna, s.s. (2.30 p.m.), 1,271 tons, Elders, from Wellington. SAILED.—.June 8. Tarawera, s.s. (12.15 p.m.), 1,993 tons, Evan, for Auckland via ports.

The Oorinna arrived at Dunedin this afternoon from Wellington direct, and was berthed at the Cross wharf to discharge and load. She is fixed to sail to-morrow for Oa-maru, Timaru, Nelson, and iNew Plymouth. The Kowhai arrived at Timaru at 9 a.m. to-day from Westport. After discharging her cargo of coal she will go to Westport and Greymouth to load for Wellington. Reports received from Greymouth sta-lo that the weather was unsettled there today, with strong easterly winds. A moderate sea was runnine on the bar, and a <ligbt fresh in the river. Westport- reported a slight current in the river, and ■a moderate swell on the bar. Two sailing vessels were in the Lower Harbor this morning, anchored but ready for sea. namely the scow Hazel Repton, loaded, ' with timber for Melbourne m Carey Bay, and the schooner May Howard, at the Ka.ik. THE MONOWAI.

The Union Company advise that the work of overhauling the Monowai at Port Chalmers is expected to be completed about the end of this week. The vessel will then take up her former running m the Dunedin-East Coast-Auckland service, but her sailing date from here has not yet been definitely fixed.
