SPORTING
D.J.C. COMMITTEE. The following have been proposed tor election at the annual meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club:—President. Mr P. Miller; vice-president, Mr L. C. Hazlett; committee—Messrs A. B. Armour, T. Elliott, J. Gow, A. S. Orbell (retiring members), and W. Gardiner, iun. As there are more than the required number for the committee a ballot will be taken.
The C.J.C. National meeting will be held on August 15 and 17, and the New Zealanf Metropolitan Trotting Club's fixture a' August 14 and 16.
