IN 'REBECCA OF SUNNYBROOK FA KM.' On Friday next a Paramount film, entitled ' Rebecca of •iv.iimybrook Farm,' featuring tho ever-favorite Mary Pickford, will be shown at the Umpire Picture Theatre. The picture is adapted from Kafo Douglas Wiggins'* book 01 the s.amo name, and Mary Pickford has brought tlmt delightful little heroine to life in her wonderful interpretation of Rebecca of Sunny brook Farm. The story tells of Rebecca Randal! and her large family of brothers and sisters living at Sunnybrook Farm, which is principally remarkable for tho size of tho mortgage it carries. The task of taking care or" all the children is too much for Mrs Randall, so Rebecca is sent to b-.o- two aunts, who are strict New fingland disciplinarians. Rebecca, the light-hearted, and friend of all, meets Adam Lndd, and makes him her schoolgirl hero. She is thirdly sent to boardimr school after disgracing her aunt's family by her cleverly-written verse. She returns a. beautiful young girl, and Adam's admiration for her lias greatly increased, the love for the child having grown into love for the young woman. One of the aunts passes away, and later on Rebecca learns that the railroad has purchased Sunnybrook Farm. When everyone is happy, Adam reminds her Hint when a. little girl she bad told him sho intended to marry him when she grew tin.
