(Received January 8, at 8.40 a.m.) Considerable interest is manifested in sporting circles over the New Zealand reports as to the possibility of Desert Gold and Biplane measuring strides at the Australian autumn meetings. While Now Zealand sportsmen resard '"Mr Lowrv’s champion superior to Biplane, Australian exports think the winner of tho A.J.C. and Victorian Derbies tho better of the two.
