The Prime Minister recently cabijH to the Commonwealth Government urging the removal of .the embargo,' so far as New Zealand is concerned, on the expert of superphosphates from Australia, or that at any rate the supplies already contyjcted for anight be allowed to be shipped.’ 3 Mr Massey is now advised that the pysnits for the export of superphosphates were withheld pending inquiry as to load requirements, but instructions had subsequently been issued that until a definite decision had been arrived at shipments were to be allowed to be sent to New Zealand in order to fulfil already existing contracts until the 28th February.
