The; death occurred recently at Taa-.wiqa Of Mr A. C. H. Tovey-Tcnnant, KQ the age of 84 years. Born at Montrap in 1833, ho entered the British Army, KHfnug the TOth. Regiment, and securing hi.i. ;rommission at tho age of 18. In 1859 hj ried, and leit almost immediately"' for India. From India ho came direct tr- No v Zealand, arriving at Auckland in.th-y shin Daniel Rankin in 1861. He saw ..nucb active service in tho Waikato and Taranaki districts. ' Mrs Burdekin, wife of Mr E. B. kin, of the Public Trust Office, Vf ton, died at Nelson last week. Decsased, who was the second daughter of tlii. late Jlr J. B. Sadd, lived in Nelson for ‘.many years, and subsequently at Napie,;? and Wellington.
