It is believed that an attack on Helsingfors, both by land and sea, is first contemplated.

RED CROSS APPEAL. The money to be collected on "Our Day ' (October 18) is to be divided between the British Red Cross and the New Zealand Red Cross in England. That means that half tho total collected will bo spent for the benefit of the Dominion's sick and wounded soldiers in the Old Land The executive of the Dunedin Centre of the St. John Ambulance Association are making the arrangements locally.
