WEST COAST MINERS.

STOP PRESS ITEMS.

(Per United Press Association.) . _ . , GREYMOUTH, April 27. A meeting of Runanga miners last night decided to discontinue work pending a definite settlement in regard to workmen’s tickets on the Rewamri line. The State mine was idle to-day. The new conditions are in accord with the general curtailment of the period of the availability ot workmen’s tickets from two to one week for 12 trips. If the mines worked . daily there is every indication at present that 12 trips could be made except in pay week (there being no _ work at the mines on. alternate Saturdays). The ticket rate is per trip.
