BRITAIN ADMITS DANGER. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, April 26. (Received April 27, at 12.26 p.m.) The food situation is undeniably grave, and there is a danger of famine conditions unless consumption is immediately curtailed. The public are being prepared to expect privations in tho near future. The general opinion is that food tickets are imperative. Tho enemy are now reaching their maximum etVurt« to .starve the Allies. All tho Austro-German submarines, with tho exception of those needed for home defence, are engaged on our trade routes. There is little indication of any reduction of tho submarine danger during the summer when the long daylight is favorable to submarines’ operations.
