The National Mortgage and Agency Company have received a cablegram from Messrs Mills and Sparrow, London, re Haiiy produce;—No arrivals colonial; Danish butter this week bare, nominal value,; New Zealand, 2125. Lard, 116s. STANDARD INSURANCE COMPANY. The annual report of the directors of tlie ■ Standard Fire and Marino Insurance Company of New Zealand, Ltd., states that the r.et income for tho year amounts to £’169,611, and the expenditure to £127.856, leaving a balance of £11,775. to which has to be added the balance carried forward from last year. £9,225, making a total of £21,000. From this amount r.n interim dividend was paid in June, afcsorbing £5,750, leaving a balance, of £17,250, which the directors have dealt with in the following manner, viz. : —Add to reserve fund, £2.500: and recommend that the balance, be appropriated ms follows;—To pay a dividend for the halfyear ended 51st December. 1916, at the rate of Is stl per share, .absorbing £6,250, and c-arrv forward £8,500 to next, year.
