EXEMPTED FROM MILITARY SERVICE. [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON. I'-binary 13. Before the Military Service Board to-day, Tho Commissioner of Police appea'ed on behalf of four constables, one .sergeant, and a detective-sergeant. He said that since ho last appeared before the board the number of the Feme had been still further decreased, there having- been about 10 resignations, and no now members had yet been sworn in to replace thorn. It was intended to take on some men for temporary sendee, but they would rot come under the operation of tho ballot Several members were approaching the retirement age. Tho cases were adjourned without a data being fixed, provided the appellants remain in their present employment.
