AND SUBMARINE SINKINGS. LONDON, November 3. The 'Morning Pcet's' Athens "correspondent says that serious complications ate threatened as a sequel to the Venezelists' occupation of Ekaterina. The garrison, which numbered 150, made a feeble resistance, and after euffering five killed retired. The Government obtained from the French controlling officers permission to send reinforcements, and the opposing forces are now" facing each other. Whether ths affair is a prelude to civil war. lie adds, ho cannot yet My. The Venezelists point out that in consequence of " torpedoing" they are compelled to transport volunteers by railway to Ekaterina. which the Venezelista rmist therefore hold. The 'Daily Chronicle's' Athens correspondent says that the Royaliet Reinforcements numbered 400, but it is stated that the Nationalists outnumbered the Royalists. The Royalists are bettor equipped with machine guns. It is reported that the Allies have refused to allow tho despatch of further Royalists. A Royalist newspaper asserts that King Constantino is revoking his promise to remove troops from Thcssaly to Peloponnesus owing to the Nationalist advance The 'Chronicle's' correspondent also spates that tiie Entento will immediately order wholesale arrests of spies connected with tho " submarinings." There are over 200 euspects in Athens and Piraeus. Admiral Du Fournet has delivered a message to the labor unions stating that he is conAirited that the Angheliki and Kiki were victims of submarines, the result of the betrayal of agents ashore. In the arresting of suspects, whether they are Greeks or foreigners, he will refuse to consider any Greek protests.
