BOWLING COUNCIL
[Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 21. At a meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Bowling Association, Colonel Collins preceding, Air J. J. Roberts was appointed secretary. It was decided to leva - 3d per head on members of affiliated clubs, which it was estimated would bring in about £l3O per annum. The exoeudituro varies from £125 to £l5O yearly. The council resolved to hold a tournament this year, to consist of rinks, pairs, and singles, tho neb profits to be devoted to patriotic purposes. The council, decided that the next tournament shall start on January' 8 with the pairs. A that a time limit be not introduced was carried, but tho executive were given power to curtail any gome which is unduly prolonged.
