CHRISTCHURCH, September 21. The union representative mentioned in. connection with the painters’ dispute that two of tile employers assessors bad agreed to a point in the Conciliation Council, but another assessor, stood out. -The President (Mr Justice Stringer) said that in future he dnl 11.;t wait reference made lo the Conciliation Council in tho Court, The conui-il was a place for freedom of speech, and all proceedings there were without prejudice, lie uid not wish any mention of tlm«v proceedings made in tlie Arbitration Court, ibe Court heard the painters’ dispute and reserved decision.
