DISTRESS IN IRELAND

(Received September 5, at 10.20 a.m.) A crowded meeting (the Lord Mayor presiding) carried a motion appealing for funds to alleviate the acute distress prevailing in Ireland, the result of the recent rebellion, and calling upon the Imperial Government to put Home Rule into immediate operation.
