Eight dwelling-houses were demolished. Three bombs fell in one eastern countv town, the entire damago being done by the first, which demolished two workmen's dwellings The inmate of one was lulled, and the three inmates of the adjoiiiinrr house perished under .a mass of wreckage. Two or three Zeppelins passed "to and fro. An explosive bomb in another town killed a married couple in a cottage Then an incendiary bomb wrecked a house on the outskirts fatally injuring an invalid lady. The fourth victim was. a man standing in a doorway on the opposite side of the road. This town was visited at 8 p.m., then at 11 p m., apparently the same Zeppelin returning and raking the place with bombs, of which the total number dropped was 14. The whole town was shaken; walls feU, chimneys and roofs were damaged, and windows everywhere were shattered. J The steamer Ashburton, which was unarmed, has been submarined Her crew were landed, five who were injured being taken to hospital. # The steamer Gold.mouth has been sunk, two injured members of the crew being landed at Penzance.
