Private ALBERT JOHN VIVIAN DAVIS, consumption, died in Dunedin Hospital (Mrs Davis, Invercargill). PREVIOUSLY REPORTED IN ERROR DIED FROM ENTERIC. OTAGO MOUNTED. Lines, Privates AY. Rodgers, R. Alacgregor, G. A. Crutchfield, F. Ta.it, and E. E. Stainteford.

Disembarked at Alalia.—Lance-corporal G. E. H. Woods, Driver H. T. Dudley, Privates J. Chisholm, B. W. J. Herbert, 11. D. Finnerty, J. D. Hangy. Alissing.—Ninety-four, including Privates P. H. Alunro and H. B. Hewlett. Colonel Ryrie, who is in command of tho Australian Light Horse at tho Dardanelles, has been wounded in the neck, ihe wound Is not serious. Nulla Roberts, the well-known Rugby Union three-quarter, has been killed in action. He has several times X’Dyed against New Zealand teams. PERSONAL NOTES. Private Leonard AY. G. Nicholls. reported as having died at sea from scarlet fever, was a eon of Air F. J. Nicholls, 31 AAardeu street. Opoho. Dunedin. Gunner E. A. Hendlo (sth Reinforcements, reported died of enteric) was the third son of Air and Airs AA r . Hendle. of Kaiwarra, Wellington. Ho was born at Kaiwarra, and attended the local school. At the time of his death ho was 26 years of age. He played full-back for the old Kaiwarra. and Wadestown Football Clubs. His brothers, Len and AVilliam, arc also serving their country. The latter was wounded, and is now in' London. Lance-corporal Guy Alunro (wounded) is the eldest son of Mr David Alunro, chief railway auditor, AA’ellington, and is well known in Christchurch. He was born in AA r ellington 27 years ago, and was educated at Christ’s College for some years. He was a prominent member of the Cathedral Choir. He was also well known in Dunedin musical circles. Lancecorporal Alunro was an accountant in the Jarrah Timber Company offices in Dunedin, and enlisted in the Otago Alounted Rifles. He is at present an inmate of St. 'Thomas’s Hospital, London, and a cable message recently received by his parents reported him making satisfactory progress. Sergeant L. T. Davis (died of wounds) was for some time a member of the staff of the Gisborne branch of tho Bank of New South AYides. He was a prominent athlete, and a member of the Gisborne Rowing. United Cricket, and Poverty Bay Golf Clubs. Private Hugh Roberts Shrimpton (died of enteric at Malta) was a grandson of the founder of the ‘Lyttelton Times.’ He was 21 years of age and a prominent member of the Sydenham Cricket and Football Clubs. He belonged to the Canterbury Alounted Field Ambulance.
