ROSLYN WARD BYE-ELECTION
MR H. F, WRIGHT ELECTED. The wet weather yesterday doubtless seriously affected the-.polling in connection with the bye-election for the return of a councillor for Roslyn Ward in the Dunedin City Council vice Cr E„ S. Menzies, resigned. There "were 2,750 eligible voters, but only 1,148 exercised the privilege. There were two candidates Messrs. 11. F. Wright and Mr J. H. F.’ Hamel, the former being returned by a majority of 180 votes. Following is the detail of the polling : Wright. Hamel.
