WAIKATO LAND SHARES
Tickets for the Waikato land, generously donated to tha New Zealand Patriotic Society by Mi- John M'Master, of the Waararapa, are now on sale. Th# prize consists of 4,000 fully-paid-up shaves of £1 each in. the Maraeta.l Parma, Ltd. The property consists of 67,820 acres, and is situated on the Taupo-Tctara, Railway Company's, line of railway, the Martietai railway station being about 14 miles from Putaroru, where the line junctions with. the Rotorua line. The block, which is exceptionally well watered, is being roaded, 7,000 to S,OCO acres of it have at present been sold, and improvements 'are being pushed ahead. The price of ih© tickets- is ss, and 1PO ; 000 are being sold. 'fhis is an art union in a good cause, and a wholehearted and spontaneous response is expected. Tickets are being sold from North Cape to the Bluff, and after deducting the necessary cost of promoting tin's art union—expenses such" as. advertising and printing—"the proceeds will be divided' equally betwen the four military districts of Auckland, Wellington, C'lnlerbwy, and Otaso for the relief of their wounded soldiers and dependents.—[Advt.J
