The appointment of an umpire in the event of the j'idges failing to come to a, unanimous decision at the lmrso paradei was left in the hands of the marshals and stewards to arrange. A letter war received from the Canterbury Metropolitan A. and P. Association supporting the action of the Otago Society in their endeavor to prevent exploitation and the undue inflation of prices by speculators in farm produce.
