EX-NAVALS' CLUB
The annual meetiig of the Tort Chalmers ex-Navals' CJub attracted a good attendance of members to the orderly room of the Garrison Hall. Tho reports showed that the club had experienced a very successful year. The balance-sheet disclosed a credit balance of £5 15s. The successful smoke concert was also referred to as evidence that social gatherings of that nature were appreciated by the- members. That thai members of the club maintain a ken interest in "Service" matters was evidenced by tho fact that a trophy to bo shot for was presented to Major Dodds's company, and two prizes to be shot for given to tlie school cadets. Tin? club were doing good work. The success of the club was largely attributed to their naving an energetic committee who carried out their duties promptly and efficiently. Sometime during the ensuing year the club intend to have a bag reunion meeting, this function to take the form of a social. The following patrons and officers were elected:—Hon. patrons—-Colonel Bauchop, Mr J. Mill, and Captain Thomson; president. Mr E, Knewstubi>; vice-president, Mr K. Godfred ; treasurer, Mr J. Craig; auditor, Mr J. Harland ; secretary, Mr N. J. Healy (re-elected); committee—-Messss T. White, W. Clake, I. Isbister, It. Anderson, and A- Osborne.
