Frederick Morrison (Auckland), £3 10s, balance due for books, with costs (12s); same v, John M'N'aughton (Gisboj-ne), £3 2s, for books, with costs (12s); William Crossan (Mr Hay) v. John MacDcnnell (Timaru).. £l2 14s sd, for dishonored cheque and interest, and balance owing on a case of whisky, with costs £1 lis 6d); Keill and Co.. Ltd. (Mr Lemon) v. Walter Cousins (Waimate), £2 14s 9d, for goods supplied, with costs (ss); the Phoenix Companv, Ltd. v. John Fleming Rodaers (Tiroaru), £1 10s 6i, for goods delivered, with costs (ss); tho Otago Hospital and Charitable Aid Board (Mr White) v. Daniel M'Fie, £l, for maintenance 'Provided for defendant in the Dunedin Hospital, with costs (ss). Judgment Summons.—W. Collie (Mr A. C. Hanlon) v. R. Bagnell.—This had been a claim for £2l 6s 6d. After defendant bad been examined as to his means. His Worship declined to make an order. A Defended Case.—A. Moritzson and Co, claimed from John Baird, of Otipua road, Timaru, the sum of £7 4s 9d, for goods supplied. Mr Hay appeared for plaintiff and Mr A. E. Duncan for de fondant.—Defendant alleged that he had ordered kauri doors, and that plaintiff had supplied him with doors of Baltic pine, which were useless, for his purpose.—* Plaintiff contended that defendant had merely ordered doors, without specifying the kind he wanted. He (plaintiff) kept only Baltic doors in stock. Defendant kept tho doors for six mouths, and then returned them in a damaged condition. Plaintiff refused to take delivery of them. —After hearing evidence His Worship held that defendant was liable, and gave judgment for plaintiff for £7 Js Bd, with costs i«l 17s).
