Kent, in their match against Northamptonshire, at Northampton, declared their innings closed with nine wicket* down for 539 runs. Northamptonshire's second venture only yielded 57, Blythe taking seven wickets for 15 runs and Woolley three for 26. Kent won the match 'by 227 runs, the total* being : Kent (86 and 339), 425; Northamptonshire (141 and 57), 198. Playing for Warwickshire against Middlesex, at Birmingham, F. E. Foster scored 51 runs in 15 minutes.
