Captain M'Leod, a Wild West showman, who was recently fined at Auckland for random shooting with, a pe» rifle, got himself into further prominence on Satur* day night at the Waikato Winter Show, Part of M'Leod's performance is to bore holes with bullets through threepenny pieces held by members of the audience, and shoot the ash off cigarettes in people's mouths. A young man, named Leslie Wilson, neaj Hamilton, stood out in the ring smoking, when M'Leod fired, the hair let entering* Wilson's • cheek, and finding its exit through the mouth and grazing his tongue, knocking out three teeth.
