Last year's income of the Church. Missionary "Society exceeded £500,0C0. Sir George Macalpine, addressing the Baptist Society, emphasised the fact that caste in India was disappearing, and a learned Indian had declared it would not last beyond another decade. He also said that when caste is gone there would be a great influx into the Christian Church.
