Y.W.C.A.

A special meeting of the Board of Directors or the Young Women's Christian Association of Dunedin was held yesterday afternoon. Mrs H. E. Wilson, the presi-, dent, occupied the chair. It was reported that the association had been duly incorporated as required by-law. The chief business of the meeting was the. consideration of an application .frqm the late proprietors of Braemar.'House for an extension of the time of occupation of the house, sold by them to the association, until September 30. A vigorous discussion took place. Keen disappointment was expressed at the suggested delay in prosecuting a larger and more eflicieni work by the association through inability to get possession of the premises at the present time. . After weighing matters carefully- the meeting decided to grant an absolutely final extension, out of consideration for the vendors, to the date asked for; The solicitor of the board was instructed to ai - ,ranjje the terms of the extension.
