With 8.10 he ran third to Corcyra. 9.0 and Stomoway 9.3 in the Middle Park Plate, 6f, at Newmarket October Meeting, and won the Dewhurst Plato a. fortnight later with 8.9, beating Corcyra 9.5 by two lengths. Corcyra started six times as a two-year-old, winning four times, second onoe, and third onoe, so that he always got in the money. , Of Black Jester's eight starts he was successful twice.
