Reid presided at the Society of Arte when Mr Charles Bright read a paper on the administration of Imperial telegraphic systems. Ho advocates the management of interimperial telegraphs by a permanent central authority, free from political control, and composed of representatives from the Admiralty, the AVa-r Office, the Colonial Office, the Post Office, and the Oversea Governments.
