OTAGO ASSOCIATION. Mr R. M. Rutherford was in the chair at the weekly meeting of tbs Otago Hockey Association, held last evening. It whs! decided to instruct the association’s deld-. gate to vote, at the annual meeting of th© Kew Zealand Hockey Association, in favor of any proposal to remove the headquarters of the association to Wellington. The re* port of Messrs Park and Wright regarding Forbury Park was received and approved, Messrs Rutherford, WTight, ana Smart were appointed a match committee. Tt. was decided to hold two grade competitions, and to,receive entries from clubs up to and including Monday, May 4, matches to be commenced on Saturday, May 9. It was further decided to commence all matches at 2.45 p.m. sharp, and to instruct referees to carry out competition rule 3 in its entirety. THE ENGLISH LADIES’ TOUR. Mr Bennett, president of the Wellington Ladies’ Association and the New Zealand Ladies’ Association, states that so far 16 a fid in ted associations have applied for matches with the team of visiting English ladies, and with the money forthcoming the tour will bo a great success. The itinerary will probably be as follows: From Wellington the team will travel and piay at Wairarapa, Hawke's Bay, Poverty Bay, Auck'and, Taranaki, Wanganui, M&r.awatu. In the South Island Nelson will be first visited, and from there th© team will play West Coast, Buller, Canterbury, South Canterbury, North Otago, Otago, and Southland. Thee© games are exclusive of test matches. It is the intention of the association to arrange for the visitors trips to Rotorua, Waitomo Caves, and the Cold Lakes—this at th© association's expense. It is thought that with such a big programme the English players should be asked to extend their proposed tour, and include a few extra players in their team, and the association have communicated with them to this effect. I! this is impracticable, the tour as outlined above must of necessity be somewhat curtailed. LADIES’ HOCKEY. The following is the draw for matches ; —A Grade: First Round. : — May 2.—Otago v.
