M'Donald yesterday advised the Western Taieri Drainage Board that he wanted £SOO and two bridges for his stock, at else £550, and he would erect bridges to suit his own convenience if the board were to take any of his land for the purpose of their drainage scheme. The clerk read a letter forwarded to. Mr M'Donald in which the board bad made him a final offer of £450 and one bridge in settlement of all claims which he might have against jthem in consequence of the coji> strntjtion of the channel through his property.
