[Per United Press Association.] NELSON, April 28. Tho Territorial camp at Tapawera has now commenced wore in earnest, and comprises the 10th Mounted Regiment, the 12th Infantry Regiment, and a section of the Field Ambulance. There will be a sham battle with the co-operation of all the troops on the occasion of General Hamilton’s visit on May 4. Colonel Chaffey is in charge. Much rain has been experienced, but all the men have made the best of it, and played the game. One thousand one hundred men are under canvas. CHRISTCHURCH, April 28. Tho Licensed Victuallers’ Association and Hotel Employees’ Union have signed an industrial agreement fixing a six-day week. The agreement generally follows the Wellington award, but there are a few increases in wages greater than those at Wellington. Compulsory preference, similar to that which has been in force for three years, was agreed to. CHRISTCHURCH, April 28. The Arbitration Court judgment in* the Itaxi-drivers’ dispute was Jgiven to-day. Mr Justice Stringer stated that the Court thought that in the face of Mr Justice Sim’s judgment last December they could not hear the dispute at present. The union had not been prosecuted for striking, nor suspended, but- they were practically suspended by the fact that no award was made. The Court told tho parties to confer, and if they arrived at an agreement it would be made into an award, otherwise the w.ion must begin proceedings again, and the Court would act.
