SYDNEY, March 5. (Received March 5, at 10 a.m.) Representations have been made to Mr Massey by the Presbyterian Missions Board "of Australia, who ask the Dominion Government to use their influence in supporting the protest to the Colonial Secretary (Mr Harcourt) regarding the management of the New Hebrides. Referring to the cabled suggestion that Australia should acquire French rights in the New Hebrides by purchase, the Minister of External Affairs (the Hon. Mr-Glynn) said that the Commonwealth Government . were prepared to meet any opportunity of settling the question on lines that 'would be honorable to the two nations immediately concerned, whether they involved pecuniary or other methods of adjustment.
