GOOD TEMPLARY
Through the courtesy of the Hope of Dune-din Lodge, who gave up their usual -weekly meeting. a statutory meeting of the Dimodin District Lodge Was held on Friday evening in the lodge room. Octagon ; Bro. A. J. Paterson. D.C.1., presiding. There was a full attendance of officers and delegates. Bio. Gillespie, of the Lifeboat Lodge. Timaru, was welcomed as a visitor, and conveyed the greetings of his lodge. Noti<je of motion was given to increase the number of delegates from each lodge from live to seven. The reportr. of the visiting deputies to subordinate lodges showed them to be on the up grade as far as membership and the general purposes of the Order. The account for initiation banners (which had been subscribed among the members) being now in hand, was passed for payment. The question of reopening lodge in the South end, which had been closed for some time, was remitted to the executive for inquiries and report. The Grand Lodge Organiser (Bro. Cameron) brought forward a series of proposed alterations and recommendations to be forwarded to the session of the International Supreme Lodge, which was to be held in July at Christiania, Norway (the representative from New Zealand being Bro. Petersen, of Levin). Further consideration of them was held over till the annual meeting of District Lodge next month. After other formal and routine business a voto of thanks was passed to the Hope of Dunedin for the use of their lodge room and furnishings. This was responded to by Bro. M'Keown.
