The sale was reported on Christchurch "Change to-day of New Zealand Shipping Company’s shares at £l4. CHRISTCHURCH WOOL MARKET. A GOOD SALE. CHRISTCHURCH, November 14. The offerings at to-day's wool sale were below the average. There was a record attendance of buyers, and competition was keen. The local mills operated freely. The Americans took a fair proportion. Medium clean cross-breds and medium super brought 10d to lid ; inferior; 9£d to 9Jd; super half-bred. ll|d to iS^d; medium, ICQd to super thvee-quarter-b'red, lid to ll|d ; medium, lOd to l'd|d; inferior. 9£d to 9|d ; super cross-bred, to 12d; medium’ 9id to lOd ; inferioi - , B|d to 9d ; longwool, 9d to 11 Jd; super Corfiedale; 12ld to 12|d; Down wool, 10|d to 12id; crossbred pieces, 9£d to 10;[d ; half-bred, 6id to lOijd ; bellies, 7d to lOd ; locks; 5d to ssd ; criitchings; s|d to 7£d. Prices generally were, lid to 2d higher than at the first sale last year.
