-J . ■ THE SKATING RINK. The final big event of the skating season takes place at the Brydone Hall Rink next Tuesday and. Wednesday, in the form of a grand poster carnival. Considerable interest is being displayed in this eventby skaters, and no doubt a largo number of- entries will be received for the various novel competitions instituted by the management. Competition should' be. fairly keen, handsome prizes being offered. Mr Lamb and liis assistants have worked hard to make the final entertainment a eiiccess-, and skaters will do well to help them in their efforts. The public axe reminded that early application for tickets is necessary, as only a limited number are available. The usual session will bo observed to-night. The coming week should be a busy one, ; ne no doubt skaters will take all opportunities for a good skate before the rink closes on Saturday next. HAYWARDS' PICTURES. Last night and this afternoon good audiences attended at Burns Hall, and unmistakably demonstrated their approval of the programme. 'Madam Sans Gene,' 'Lulu's Doctor,' and 'Rangoon and Environs ' are strong- features- in the Beries. This set of pictures will be projected finally to-night, as on Monday Mr \V. S. Percy's great mining picture play 'All for Gold,' which has caitsed quite a furore in Australian cities, will bo installed, along with seven others, including a lon<* star comedy in which Max Liiider appears to advantage. QUEEN'S THEATRE. The present programme at the Queen's Theatre, is drawing good business to the house. 'The Light that Failed' and 'The Ship of Lions' are a couple of-good cards, and are well supported. FULLERS' PICTURES. The large number who witnessed the entertainment at the Princess Theatre last evening were manifestly pleased with the fare offered. The programme includes iscmo really capital films, notably ' The Ship of Lions,' ' The Sunset Gun,' *' Italian Artillery,' and 'Amorous Arthur.' The children's matinee this afternoon was well attended. KING'S THEATRE. Good business was don© at the King's last night. Les Francois, Herbert- Clifton, Mr " C.,"' Maud Courtney, and Madam Light are the draws. Some good pictures
