KENNEL CLUB.
The annua! meeting of the New Zealand Kennel Club was held at Wellington yesterday. The following resolutions were carried : That rule 1 of the regulations for show purposes be amended to read : "If the name of a dog be changed or if an old name he re-assumed, such dog mustbe again registered and identified before exhibiting in its altered name, for which a fee of JOs will be charged." That nile 16 of the regulations for show purposes be deleted. (The rule in question leads as follows:—"A dog that has been exhibited or has won a prize in a class exclusively for puppies under 12 months old on the first day of the show, or is a prize-winner in a competition not open to all exhibitors, is not thereby excluded from being exhibited in a class where previous prize-winners are not. allowed to compete.") That a summary of Kennel Club's charges be inserted in the rule book as follows:—"The following 'fees are payable to Kennel Club : For registration of name of dog, Is: for registration of transfer of ownership, is ; for registration of prefix or affix. Is ; for change in name of dog previously registered, 10s ; for registration of dog in stud book, ss; inquiry for pedigree, each, generation, Is." That- members of the executive who make application should have their travelling expenses paid for attending at the three meetings during the year, including the annual general meeting.
The election of office-bearers resulted as follows: —President, Mr Paul Hunter (reelected); executive committee Messrs Harper, Soler, Rogen, and Watson ; secretary and treasurer, Mr P. H. Smith; auditors, Messrs H. Kember and Son.
