ROSLYN DORCAS SOCIETY.

The 12th annual meeting of the Rcslyn Dorcas Society was held in the local Council Chambers yesterday afternoon, when the Rev. R. R. M. Sutherland presided. There were also present Mesdames Bannerman (president), Livingston (treasurer), A. C. Stuart (secretary), "Bain, and Howard, Mkses Gardiner and M'Corkindale. The annual report stated that the society bad great cause for gratitude to God for prospering its work of relieving the poor and needy ones of the district. The work went on'quietly from year to year, and many had been gladdened by the gifts of the society. During the year 30 adults and 49 children had received help. The thanks of the society were due to the subscribers for their ready response to the calls made upon them. Mrs Richards, who for many years was an energetic member of the committee, had, through her removal from Rcslyn, been lost to the society, and they desired to place on record the value of her services. The thanks of the members were accorded the Roslyn Borough Council for the use of the Council Chambers for the monthly meetinge, to Mr Wedge- for his assistance, and to Mr A. Matheson for auditing the society's books. The Cnairman, in moving the adoption of the report, said that the society had reason to be gratified at the result of the year's operations.
