COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE.

CHRISTCTTURCH, May 29. Alexander Marshall, late manager of the Christehurch branch of Stewart Dawson and Co.'s business, pleaded guilty to-day to the theft of £IOO, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. The evidence showed that a shortage of £7OO had been discovered, which accused's friends refunded. Subsequently a further shortage was discovered, which was the basis of tho present charge.
