(Received December 6, at 11.25 a.m.) There is much disappointment in Canada owing to tho absence' of Reciprocity with Ausirada. One result of the Dominion elections will bo to reconsider the steps taken to forward Reciprocity within tho Empire. Australian reluctance to carry the process further is regretted. * Tho Government, arc planning an investigation into tire contract for the Hudson Bay Railway let by tho late Government prior to the dissolution. Tho Government aro not satisfied that tho best route has been secured. ONTARIO, December 5. For the provincial elections there aro 17 uncontested seats. The Whitney Government arc certain to bo returned.
