Tlio Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Association of Waimate are rioted for sheetings, which they make a specialty of. They imported laigc quantities of Horrocke's sheeting, and at the time of their late lire they had many thousands of yards of sheeting on hand. None of it was actually burnt, though most of it was deluged with water. In a small reserve room off their main warehouse were stored many full pieces of llorrocks sheeting. These escaped without damage of any kind. Here. also, were velvet pile tablecovers, tapestry tablecovers. white flannelettes, window blinds, table baizes. These are to be eokl to-morrow at the salvage sale at Penrose's, George street. The prices asked for any of these goods are under landed cost price, so buyers will have a good time. To facilitate the handling of such a large quantity of sheeting Penrose's have opened a temporary department adjoining their carpet and linoleum department. There will be sold to-morrow about 20 real eiderdown quilts at salvage pnce.3; also 2.ooovds of Roslyn grey and pink flannel at Is per vard These flannels are usually sold at' Is Pd yard. In the show room will be found a line of young women's plain navy vicuna coats, sizes from 42 to 50 inches long. Any size is offered at 5s ]ld each. The usual price for these coats is 50s. The salvage bar : gains in the men's clothing departments are still attracting crowds of buyers. Men's tweed 0.-ercoats are very cheap, so are men's shirts of all kinds. Many hundreds of men's hats have been practically given away, yet the stock is not exhausted. Buyers still throng the carpet and linoleum department, and men are kept busy day and night cutting off the linoleum orders. There is no mistake, the goods arc cheap at this salvage sale.—[Advt.]
