John Sutton, her husband, was charged with procuring liquor for the woman.---The Sub-inspec-tor stated that Sutton and a man named Lambert wen- seen to leave the Captain Cook Hotel on the tilth oi lasi month. Sutton was carrying a handle under his arm. He vent to his own house, and was followed by two constables. who saw beer poured out and Sirs Sutton' drink a cup of heer.--Sni-ton denied the chairge. He said In' was a beer drinker and his vile a brandy drinker. She said she would not drink beer if. it was ottered her. His Worship suggested to the husband that jie should take out a prohibition order against himself, to which lie answered: “ I think I would die if 1 went without beer for 12 months.” His Worship then lined him fids and costs. Indecent'v.—George Rarkley. charged witli an offence of this nature, did nor appear, and a warrant was ksued tor liis arrest. Unregistered Do^s. —For keeping an tin registered dog James Jelley was fined 10s and costs, and Hestle Thompson was ordered to pay costs (7s). A case against James Kain was dismissed.
