WOOL TARIFF COMPROMISE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON, July 28. (Received July 29, at 9 a.m.) The insurgent Republicans, uniting with tho Democrats, in tho Senate carried a compromise on the Wool Bill, placing the rate at 25 per cent, on raw wool. TJuj House of Representatives is disinclined to accept the compromise, but a conference between the two Chambers is expected to result in an agreement. It is not known whether Mr Taft will veto the measure, in accordance with his previous hints.
