Tongariro, t.s.s., sailed from Port Chalmers this afternoon to complete her Homeward loading at Wellington. After her present Homeward trip she will be probably relegated to Telief duty. Briez Izel, s.s., is reported by cable to have sailed from New York with a cargo of case oil for New Zealand ports. Kia Ora, s.e., en route from London to New Zealand ports, will load the Auckland cargo at Cape Town landed from the wrecked steamer Aotea. The Kia Ora is bringing 5,400 tons of cargo for Auckland, and about 3,000 tons for Wellington and the Bluff. A wireless message received in Wellington at eleven o'clock last night advises that the Maitai, from San Francisco is expected to reach Wellington tomorrow morning at eleven o'clock. The boats of the Hamburg-American Line made 103 trips to New York last year, and ca»rried 40,027 cabin passengers and 114,023 'tween-deckers.
