N.Z. ACCOUNTANTS
The N.Z. Accountants and Auditors' Association held their thirteenth annual general meeting last night. Mr H. Shaw (Auckland), president, was in the chair. The annual report and balance-sheet (which showed that the Association possessed accumulated funds amounting to £354 5s Id) wero adopted, and a heartyvote of thanks was accorded to the president.
Tho following office-hearers were elected:—President, Mr R. Wilberfoss (Wellington). Vice-presidents: Messrs R. H. A. Potter (Auckland), J. C. Port (Wellington), H. Bailey (Tarauaki), F. H. Labatt (Canterbury), C. H. Statham (Otago), W. A. Ott (Southland). Council: Auckland—Messrs Shaw, Evans, O'Halloran. Takle, and Short; Taranaki—Messrs Corkill and Ellis; Wellington—Messrs James Kcllow, T. Forsyth, J. M. Fleming, J 11. G. Rowley, and D. M'Kay ; Canterbury—Messrs W. H. Cheeseman, W. E. Best, Compton, Marshall, and Modlin; Otago—Messrs G. Blyth, G. M. Mac Lean, J. G. Patterson, W. E. C. Rcid, and T. H. Thompson; Southland—Messrs R. A. Anderson, J. Cunningham, and W. F. Scandrett. Mr W. A. Ott (Southland) moved—"That the Executive Committeo make the necessary arrangements in order that the Association may be wound up at tho end of the vear, or as near thereto as possible, and that the libraries be handed to tho local branches of the New Zealand Society of Accountants."—Mr J. G. Patterson seconded the motion pro forma.—After some discussion the motion was lost. It was decided to hold the next annual meeting in Wellington.
