NATIONALISATION OF HOSPITALS i EFFECT OP FLOODS. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, February 21. (Received February 21, at 9.15 a.m.) Instructions have been given to the Department of Health to prevent oversea consumptives landing in this State. The Secretary for Agriculture (Mr MaoDotmell) states that it was not the intention of the Government to nationalise hospitals. What he told a deputation last week was merely hia own personal opinion. At a public meeting, including several prominent Opposition supporters, it was decided to give Mr M'Gowan a public sendoff to the Coronation. News has been received from the Now Hebrides that Mr Pitt, a British subject, and formerly a resident of New Zealand, with four others, left in a boat on a visit to a neighboring Lisand. The party have not since been heard of, and are believed to have perished. A hurricane recently swept the group. BRISBANE, February 20. The blockages on the railway caused by the recent floods are seriously interfering with business in some inland towns, where firms, being unable to obtain supplies, are dismissing their employees.
