They provide ;—Government House, Auckland (repairs), £700; refurnishing same, --£1.500; High Commissioner's Office, London (on account), £1.000; compensation to the late Sergeant M'Guiro's widow, £250; compassionate allowance to Michael Quirko, £200; compensation to J. J. Moikle for wrongful imprisonment, £5,000; contribution toward.; the Antarctic expedition, £1,000; Coronation expenses in New Zealand (on account), £1,000; expenses of military reviews in connection with Lord Kitchener's visit, £7,400; gratuities to widows of late members of the Legislature —Mrs Dannie £3OO, Mrs Trask £3OO, Mrs Holmes £3OO. Mm Scotland £SOO, daughters of If. 11. J. Reeves £300; official entertainments in London during* the Coronation, £500; repairing old soldiers’ graves, £1,000; Tramway.-; Brakes Commission exiwnses, £515; new steamer for Like Wakatipu (on account), £IO.OOO. The .Supplementaries also include £2,402 honoraria to officers and members of the House, £325 to officers and members of the Legislative Council. £3,403 general expenditure, ‘Hansard’ supervisor £l° extra, chief and other reporters the same (one reporter gels a permanent rise of £25, bringing his salary up £300). The Superintendent of the National Provident Kurd receives £SO. For the hire oi vehicles to establish rural mail deliveries, £I,OOO is asked ; £3,656 for the San Francisco mail service; £2,000 lor assisting rural settlers in establishing rural telephones ; £525 Fir fire extinguishers; £BSO for increases of pay to iron-making merchants under the Government Railways Act; £595 for a motor lorry in connect ion with the Wellington Post Office; £SOO ier compassionate allowance _lo Mrs Cation, as recommended by the Railways Committee. Building Renovations. —£200 is asked for Oamarn Courthouse ; £IOO. Dunedin Courthouse: £2OO, Invercargill Courthn.ii-.;; £IOO, Dunedin Police Station ; £l5O, Dunedin Custom House£3oo, baths and fittings at Seadiff; £250, for painting at Soaeliff. Increments to Salaries. —£25 each to tho private, secretaries to the Native Minister and (lie Attorney-General, the Chief Clerk !-j tho Justice Department, Mr Widdowismi, S.M. (bringing his salary up to £625), and the stipendiary magistrate at Nascby (bringing bis salary up to £500). Tho following get £lO rises ; —Bailiffs at Dunedin "and Oamarn, Clerk of Court at Clyde, bailiff at Invercargill. . An additional £SO is provided lor Mr Keal!, Visiting Adviser oi Gaols (bringing his salary lo £350), and to Mr Fraser, gaoler at Invercargill. For the re formation- farm at Tokonui £I,OOO is asked. Mr C. Matthews, Clerk to the Head Office Police, receives an additional £100; the Chief (Jerk. £25: and the Fingerprint Expert, £lO. Compassionate Allowances. —Additional gratuity of £555 to the widow of Scr.eant M‘Cairo, as recommended by tho Petitions Committee; £554 to tho children of Constable Jfnncox, drowned while on duly; £2OO to the father of Qnirke, killed during the Powelka scare; £IOO to tho widow of Sergeant M‘Plice.
