THE BRITISH FLAG TO BE PLANTED. Press Association—By Telegraph- Copyright. OTTAWA, July 8. Captain Bernier’s Canadian Arctic expedition have sailed from Quebec.
The party will spend two years exploring Hudson Bay, and will plant the British Flag on the islands within the Arctic Circle, and thus end the United States’ contention that Canada has no sovereignty there.
