Sir, —K© contributor “ M.’h" letter umler this heading in Friday's ‘ Star,’ we all know what Socialism should do, but. for the benefit of your contributor I may say it lias been tried, and was an absolute failure. I have just finished reading ‘Experiments in Socialism,' by Cullen. This book was loaned to me, and 1 do not know whether it is yet procurable in Dunedin. If not, and “ M.” would care to read it. and will call and get my name from the editor, and look me up, and I am satisfied that ho will take care of the book and return it, I will try to procure it for him.—l am, etc., Ma.vcfactuuei;.
